Quality Control

Module 5, Lesson 3

Catching Errors Before They Cost You Money

Mistakes Happen

No matter how good your training or checklists, errors will occur.

Why QC Matters for Billing

Mistakes compound. Small issues become big problems. QC breaks the chain.

Layer 1: Self-Checking

Layer 1

Real-Time Self-Review

The person doing the work checks their own work as they go, enabled by checklists and standards.

Review photos against checklist before leaving site. Review estimate against standards before submitting.

Layers 2 & 3

Layer 2: Peer Review

Another person reviews before work advances. Fresh eyes catch what the original person missed.

Layer 3: Random Audits

Periodic review of completed work. Catches patterns individual reviews miss. Identifies system weaknesses.

Layer 4: Outcome Analysis

Layer 4

Review Results Retroactively

What got denied? What required supplements? What took longer than expected?

When you see a pattern in outcomes, trace it back to the process. Outcome analysis closes the feedback loop.
